Non-profit Clinic

Fountainhead Naturopathic Mental Health Clinic is a non profit clinic. Our services are available to all patients with mental illness based on their ability to pay using a sliding fee scale. We are in the process of obtaining 501(c) 3 tax-exempt status, but have not yet received it. Once we receive tax-exempt status, we will begin accepting tax-free donations to help further our mission of giving the underserved mentally ill populations of Santa Cruz, and surrounding areas, access to expert, naturopathic mental health care. Our primary objectives are the following:

• To provide unique, expert, naturopathic treatment to mentally ill populations at affordable rates to all individuals based on their ability to pay.

• To conduct ongoing clinical research in the area of alternative therapeutics for the treatment of bipolar disorder, pediatric bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and related conditions.

• To provide a 1 year residency to qualified graduates of an accredited naturopathic medical school. The residency will include training in the use of our unique therapeutic method to treat mental illness.

• To educate the public, as well as practicing physicians about the benefits and use of this naturopathic therapeutic method, which we are certain will revolutionize mental health care.

• To eventually open a fully functioning, inpatient facility (hospital), where patients with severe mental illness can be effectively treated in a safe, nurturing, and healing environment using our naturopathic therapeutic method.

• To eventually open a series of community clinics, which will be staffed by trained residents of our program, to provide any needed on-going, out-patient services.

Why non profit?

Because our interest is not in accumulating personal gain, but to accomplish our mission of revolutionizing mental health care with compassion and integrity, dedicated to advancing the treatment of mental illness, using methods which stimulate the body to heal itself, and committed to changing the standard for mental health care in America.
